Oberseminar: Basic Speech Research Summer
semester 08
(Neue
Entwicklungen in der Forschung zur gesprochenen Sprache)
First meeting: Friday 18th April, 15.15 in room. 226
The aim of
this seminar is for Colleagues to present and discuss research
that is ongoing in various basic
research projects at the IPS. Presentations are informal and very much of a
work-in-progress kind. This seminar is a continuation of the very successful
seminar run by Marianne Pouplier in the previous
semester. The seminar will be conducted for the most part in English.
I look forward to see you all in April! Here is a list
of those who will be regular participants of this seminar.
For students: Students having completed the 'Grundstudium'
of the Phonetics-Magister are very welcome to attend. Given that this is an Oberseminar that deals with research issues at the IPS,
students should,
in general, have completed at least one Hauptseminar
before doing so. Weekly attendance and participation (in terms of e.g., asking
questions once in a while) will lead to a Teilnahme-Schein.
HF-students can also get an LN-Schein by presenting a 15-20 minute paper in one
of the seminars. The material presented should be based on any new data that a
student may have collected and analysed and should be relevant to one or more
basic speech research issues. Contact me (jmh@phonetik.uni-muenchen.de) if you want
to find out more about this possibility.
