Contents of this CD
This CD contains the collected results of the VERBMOBIL-Lexicon project in Bielefeld. It includes collected and generated data and scripts to work with this data, including all rules that are used for the lexicon generation.
A basic structure has been used for the creation of all directories and files:
- ReadMe files
- All directories (should) hold some sort of
ReadMe-file. If you want to know what the files in one directory are
good for, read the ReadMe file first. In most cases this will give you
a sufficient amount of information to understand which files and
scripts you might consider for a given purpose.
- In file documentation
- Most files - especially the not data-only files - have comments on the contents of the file; basic information is given in the first few lines; in scripts specific comments on procedures is located in form of comments close to the procedure itself.
- Parameterized system-paths
- Scripts especially in the internal section of this CD are
paramterized so that system paths will have to be modified only in one
central file (see the information
on installation procedures). Nevertheless, generally the variables used
represent the original program names, e.g. $GAWK will be the
call for the gawk-program
- Installation-Path
- All files needed for installation will be adjusted by scripts. The scripts can be found in the directory INTERNAL/INSTALL/ on this CD-ROM
